Abrams has his facts wrong again

County school board member Steve Abrams has his facts wrong again.

He claims that Inspector General Thomas Dagley found MCPS wrongdoing in order to ingratiate himself with County Council members George Leventhal and Howard Denis, who tried to find a compromise between the school system and local PTAs.

The problem is, Dagley investigated and wrote his scathing report long before either Leventhal or Denis had committed themselves.

Neither councilman publicly opposed the Kendale project until after Dagley released his February report. Abrams - the board's audit committee chairman and a candidate for Maryland comptroller - is once again reckless with the facts.
