Superintendent Weast hides from PTA

Superintendent Jerry Weast didn't dare to face Seven Locks PTA members and children at the May 1 board of education meeting.

The only trace of Weast on dais among the school board members was his empty chair.

The man who started the crisis and scandal had something more important to do than face the people whose lives he turned upside-down. True to form, Jerry Weast had chosen a more self-aggrandizing event, a teacher's award ceremony, where he would satisfy his daily craving for adulation.

The superintendent hid from the PTA.

His no-show earned sneers. One parent remarked, "An empty chair for a little man."

A Seven Locks mom was overheard saying, "the superintendent is like most bullies - he's a coward."
